We found a $94 flight down so David leapt at the idea of coming down to visit us again before we pack up and drive home for the summer - a reprieve from exams, and a much-needed break before he jumps into his summer job.
So he was here all last week.
It was fun to watch James and David interact. They really enjoy eachother’s company and it shows. We did lots of things together, the three of us, but the boys also enjoyed much-needed “guy time” and hung out playing pool, tossing the nerf football back and forth in the pool and more.
We went out to Stone Island for a beach day, enjoyed a Beatles cover band at the Angela Peralta Theatre (Help! was the band’s name and it was a BLAST!), ate out at lots of interesting places. David loves the “cheap” places – he says he gets the best food, best portions and best price! Hmmm, I wonder where he learned that from!!! LOL
Becasue we don’t see him everyday, it is cool to see how much David is changing and growing-up with each visit. Given that there are usually many months between visits these days, the shifts are noticiable to us. At 19, David is really starting to step forth and make his way in the world and it is fun to watch, helping here or there but mostly empowering him to be the man he is.
