My New Homework

Feb 11, 2013 by

www.JamesAndShilo.comAs many of you know, James and I have been a part of 123Employee’s Marketing Mastermind program for the past year and a half. We originally joined to focus on James’ Isagenix business, but to my surprise, recently that focus has shifted to my emerging business of launching my book and the subsequent products and services that are currently under development (you can read about my upcoming book here: The Baton Game)

When I attended the Mastermind weekend in LA in December, I was given a new homework assignment…

Start making videos.

On Video.

I thought they were joking!

Not so lucky.

So, I am going to set about making videos. {Gulp}

My current topic: all of the travel tips that we have learned while on the road, traveling and living our laptop lifestyle.  60 seconds or less for each one.

<<< Meet my new best friend ~ the little Kodak Zi8. >>> I think it needs a name – any suggestions??!!

My current working title is Your Global Lifestyle Specialist – sounds swanky, doesn’t it?!

Now, I have a confession to make. I am terrified of getting “on camera”. It stirs up all of my “OMG what are people going to think?” stuff. So much for considering myself a “recovering” people-pleaser.  Talk about feeling the fear and doing it anyway.

So, here’s my Plea for Help!  Please encourage me and cheer me on! Send me lots of  ~good vibes~ and tons of love. I need all of the help I can get. {grin}

You are my test subject. My Guinea Pig. 🙂 You’ll get to see the very beginnings of this journey – videos that will never make the “cut” later on.  Please be patient with me while I am learning. And don’t laugh too loud… {grin}

* If you have experience making videos and have a few tips to share with me along the way, I welcome them. I am totally open to hearing what works for people!

So… stay tuned. My first – terrible, VERY beginner – video should be heading your way in a couple of days. Well, now that I have sent this Announcement to you… it has to!  {deep breath}

Here we go!
